September!

What is it about September for me? It’s the worst and the best dreaded and loved curious and confusing, but most of all interesting. I can’t off the top of my head without a little research remember anything major from elementary school till about say high school but after that wow it’s full of fun. September 11th 2001 we all remember where ever you were (a ditch on Johnson road) I better put September 2 Moms birthday! September 22 2007 married the love of my life!! September 23 2007 Disney World honeymoon!! September 8 2008 crash! September 26 2006 finding out I had a job in Cleveland and I was coming home! September 1 2005 is the worst for me personally Hurricane Katrina. Never in this country should I have had to see what I saw and experienced during that week in and around New Orleans. September 24 2005 Hurricane Rita my first Hurricane landfall and a CAT 3 at that why was I so excited for that? So as September closes I can't wait for next September and what it will bring. Bring on the fall colors and oh yeah SNOW bring it October!

Spin baby Spin

So this past Monday I went back to work and what an adventure that was.....we'll just leave it there for now. As the day progressed I got dizzy something I didn’t think much of seeing I had been down and out for a week after my accident. Well then Tuesday arrived with a dizzy feeling again only it wasn't constant and for the most part not that bothersome. Until about 11:25pm on the way back to the station when a strange sensation was creeping in on me was it vertigo, something I experienced 8 years ago or was it something worse just now showing it self after the crash. Wednesday oh shit I can't see straight everything spinning and hold on I can't seem to figure out how to stand up. Doylestown we have a problem! So I call my wonderful wife of now just 6 days short of 1 year and tell her its time to visit the E.R for the second time. That goes pretty well one of those take this for 2 days if your problems don’t go away come on back we will try something else. Thursday spins by Friday arrives with no change so back to the E.R. They give me more pills and tell me check with your doctor on Monday well it’s now Saturday night and its pretty hard to look at this screen good thing I have to look a the keys to type or this would have been a much shorter post. So what’s wrong with me I don't think its normal vertigo rather its probably cervical vertigo suffered from a whiplash injury and where would that injury come from? Oh right that 55mph to 0mph in .319 seconds. But I was fine felt pretty good well that’s what I was telling myself and everyone else maybe I was hurt worse that first though maybe I should have listened to everyone else and took it a little slower but with work and health care the way it is in this country getting back to normal and trying to avoid doctors and hospitals seemed the better route it worked before. So I sit, type and spin around the room yet stationary telling everyone that reads this take care of your self first don't worry about anything else your health is the most important!!

The best obit ever

This is from an actuall news paper!

Ruth E. (Sechrist) Rencevicz
Ruth E. Rencevicz (Sechrist)
Ruth E. Rencevicz, born Ruth Elizabeth Sechrist on August 28, 1927, passed away on September 7, 2008 due to complications resulting from her children making her old before her time.
(Ruth had a playful and irreverent outlook towards life, an attitude that she was fortunate enough to retain right up until the time of her death. This obituary is being written with that philosophy in mind. If you find this particular viewpoint offensive, then read no further. Instead, please take comfort in knowing that Ruth fought her leukemia courageously right up until the very end, and that she died peacefully in her sleep.)
Ruth passed away amongst the rich and famous in Greenwich, Conn. She is survived by brother, Clyde; sons, Wade, Bernard, Phil and Jon; daughters, Lisa and Sonya; grandchildren, Trevor, Grace, Casey and Sammy; an illegitimate child conceived when the circus was in town named Greg "The Donkey" King; her favorite dog, Lucy; and her favorite cat, Derrick.
Over the years, in addition to her regular jobs as a full-time mom and a switchboard operator at both Sears and BFG Federal Credit Union, Ruth also served her country as a covert spy for the Central Intelligence Agency, where during the Cold War she was largely responsible for the breakup of the Soviet Union near the end of the 20th century. At least, that's the way she told it.
Ruth was also very active as a volunteer with youth in her community in Tallmadge, Ohio, where she was known to selflessly give of her time by standing on her balcony yelling at kids for "playing that rap music" at all hours of the day and night. She also served as a mentor to young people by throwing rocks at teenagers dressed in loose baggy pants with their underwear exposed. She winged a couple of 'em pretty good, from what we understand.
Although born in Hammondsville, Ohio, Ruth enjoyed summering in Greenwich, Conn., where she loved drinking Fresca with Absolut Ruby Red vodka, and stalking Peter Jennings and Jack Black.
Ruth reported being abducted by aliens several times during her life, and we don't mean the good kind of aliens who come from outer space. We're talking about illegal immigrant aliens from Mexico and West Virginia. Oddly, Ruth never really complained much about these kidnappings.
Ruth was adamant that people use the occasion of her passing to remember and celebrate her life. In lieu of formal funeral proceedings or viewing hours, she requested that those who remember and cared about her share both a special memory and a drink in her honor. Preferably Bud Light Lime, or if that's not available, gasoline or floor wax.

Just Random Pics

So here a few of my favorites. Like most say a picture is worth a thousand words.

$200 Remote

Webster’s Dictionary defines bitch......1: the female of the dog or some other carnivorous mammals2 a: a lewd or immoral woman b: a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman —sometimes used as a generalized term of abuse3: something that is extremely difficult, objectionable, or unpleasant so why do we start out this way? I am sick of buying television remotes because the dog thinks they are chew toys. The first occurrence was the remote to our surround sound and stereo receiver so I bought a Harmony 550 to replace it. Did I need a $120.oo remote no but as a tech nerd with a desire to have all the new cool toys yes I required such a device to turn on all of my toys at a click of a button. So I left Dottie (the bitch) out of her crate and went to work a few days previous to “the wreck” I called my lovely wife to see how her day was and she inform me that my b: a malicious, spiteful, or overbearing woman DOG had eaten my beloved do all one touch entertainment controlling remote. So now I get to go shopping do I buy the latest greatest or just replace with the identical remote. Well since we talk about adding on to the house going on vacation and some day having kids (hopefully they don’t eat my remotes) I choose to replace it with the on sale identical remote. So 119.99 + 79.99= 199.98+12.49 tax=212.47 for a @#$% #$% @$#^ %$@^ remote!

Ouch2!

So if you’re wondering what injuries can be sustained by an airbag kicking your ass. 1: As the bag opens at mach 6.2 it will rip all skin it comes in contact with off 2: The intense heat generated by an air bag and its gun powder charge that sets it off will cauterize you remaining skin in order to generate as much discomfort as humanly possible. That occurs as the skin is being ripped off, sort of a flaming cheese grater. 3: Your mind will replay the events 4.2 trillion times during any given day and you will ask yourself what could I have done differently. So I hope you enjoy those lovely images because every 4-6 hours I have to clean and redress them so not to contract an infection and further this wonderful experience. 2 Days 2 posts guess I am taking it easy. Oh the pic is my left arm and pictures don't do it justice.

Ouch!

For sometime now I have been wanting to resurrect this blog but just couldn’t find the time, I know what your thinking your last post was 719 days....62,121,600 seconds.....1,035,360 minutes......17,256 hours or 102 weeks. So that’s along time and a lot has happened, I got engaged moved back home to Ohio for my dream job, bought a house and got married. So in that short amount of time a lot has happened. Now back to the title of this entry Ouch! Why ouch you say, well on my way home to get an overnight bag for an out of town trip to cover Barack Obama in Dayton, I was involved in a pretty ugly crash. If your going to enter the highway your going to need to do it when another car isn't barreling down on you at 55 mph. I walked away with cuts and burns to my legs and left arm from the airbags but that’s it. The at fault driver an 81 year old woman was in better shape than me, maybe its due too the 45 airbags new Honda Civics come equipped with. Now to the strange parts of the accident. It occurred at the intersection Route 585 and Eastern Road an intersection with a reputation of eating cars and spitting out parts all over the roadway. So that’s why the Ohio State Patrol was monitoring the intersection with two of its finest troopers yesterday at 4:45 when my logo mobile and I violently ended our trip home. That’s right two troopers witnessed the whole thing so naturally after getting out of the car and running up the hill to see if the other driver was ok I asked the only question a good TV photographer would ask "Did you have dash cam rolling" and got the response I wasn't looking for "No it only records when the lights are on" WHAT!?!?!? So with no dash cam I don’t get to see my head whip forward or her car go round and round, you know that would have been played over and over and over and over and well you know how the media works. So here I sit bored sored and gored. What a great time to get back to blogging right? I guess we will have to see when the next update is and if it comes sooner than this one.
